Brand History: The Federal Glass Company, established in Columbus, Ohio, in 1900, was a prominent manufacturer of mass-produced glassware. The company became a major player in the Depression glass era by specializing in machine-pressed, mold-etched glassware that was affordable for American families during the Great Depression.

One of their most iconic and highly collected patterns is "Cabbage Rose," which was officially named "Sharon." Federal produced this pattern from 1935 to 1939, making it a short-lived but memorable design. The "Cabbage Rose" pattern, with its distinctive floral and ribbon motifs, was available in several colors, including pink, amber, and green. Like other Depression glass, these pieces were often sold in "five-and-dime" stores or given away as promotional items with other purchases, helping to spread their charm to households across the country. The Federal Glass Company closed its doors in 1979.
